Newsletter#2, GV EVBC, Transmittal Email, Charging Class Session; February 28, 2024 Damond L Osterhus 03 Mar 2024 13:42 MST
Hello Bill, Steve, Hugh, Patrick, and Jackie!

It is Sunday, and this is the email transmitting to you, in pdf format,
Newsletter #2, GV EVBC, Charging Class Session, February 28, 2024.

As we discussed in last week's class session, only the pdf'd Newsletter file
is attached. Since the Newsletter displays the PowerPoint slides presented
and discussed, albeit in slightly less than full size, I will not be
attaching the pdf'd PowerPoint slide file to this transmittal email.

HOWEVER, if after reading the Newsletter, and its smaller sized display of
slides, you would also want the copy of the PowerPoint slide file, please do
a Reply To this email, asking me to send you the pdf'd PowerPoint slides
file. I will send a copy to your OLLI-UA personal email address. You can
also email me directly at: xxxxxx@verizon.net. If you do, please
include "GV EVBC Slides" in the subject line.

In addition to the PowerPoint slides and associated comments, the Newsletter
contains expanded explanations resulting from our discussions; e.g., I have
added commentary about determining if one really needs to/can install Level
II charging at one's residence. Based on Jackie's and Hugh's comments, it
certainly seems one might live with Level I charging for a time, just to see
if doing so satisfies ones charging needs. Level II charging installation
isn't always the solution.

I took pictures of the show and tell items we looked at while the projector
reset itself. In the Newsletter I provided some commentary about the items.
Most of the items are also shown as pictures in the PowerPoint slides.
Thought you would like to see them up close and personal.

Also, I have provided the links to the articles I provided Hugh on the issue
of EV impacting the Grid; i.e., will the Grid be able to handle all the EVs?
In order to read the articles, you only need to click on the [hyper] link.

You will find the Newsletter is loaded with material that clarifies,
augments and complements what I presented and what we discussed during the
class session.

Would appreciate any feedback you wish to make about the Newsletter: the
slide readability, the usefulness of the additional and expanded
explanations, and overall whether or not it is a helpful adjunct to the
class session itself.

As always, feel free to get back to me with any questions or comments. The
Reply To this email or directly email me at xxxxxx@verizon.net, or
call/text me at 520.449-1893 (cell). NOTE: Would appreciate it if you email
me at the verizon.net email address you put "GV EVBC" somewhere in the
Subject. I have set up a rule in Outlook to move all emails to the GV EVBC
folder when GV EVBC is in the Subject line.

Again, thanks for listening (and reading)
